Onika Veach is an experienced Property, Conveyancing, Commercial, Wills & Estates lawyer. Onika has been admitted as a solicitor in Queensland for approximately 10 years and has practiced both in Gympie and in Longreach, in outback Queensland. Although Onika lived out West for 9 years she was a Gympie girl (Onika Atkins) and attended both Chatsworth State School and Gympie State High School. She and her husband along with their daughters moved back to Gympie in 2015 to be closer to their ageing parents.
Prior to being admitted as a solicitor , Onika (pronounced O-nee-ka) trained as a solicitor in Gympie and completed her 5 year articles before moving out West. She feels at home at Power & Cartwright as she started here with us as an office junior fresh out of high school when Jack Cartwright was the Principal. Besides her 20 years working in the legal industry she has also worked for Local Government which gave her an insight into local government procedures and practices particularly relating to property law.
Onika enjoys helping clients across these areas of law that she practices in by providing practical, cost efficient legal advice with the utmost care and consideration.
